In the past five years, I’ve been lucky enough to wear some of the most popular tech brands and wear them for nearly a year straight.
And yet, when I look at the brands and brands of today, I find it hard to get excited about the future of sports.
For starters, the brands of the past are still a bit stale.
We’re living in an era where the “old school” (the brand with the old logo) still exists, but not as many brands have the brand’s DNA or appeal as they did five years ago.
If we look at a recent comparison, Nike’s brand was born in the 1980s and is more of a throwback to the 90s.
The only reason I’d even consider wearing a pair of Nike sneakers today is if I’m in the same room as the Nike logo.
