Nike has announced its latest deal with Adidas, which will see the two companies work together to launch new versions of the company’s popular sportswears.

The new footwear, which Nokia is calling the “Nokia Sport,” will debut at the IFA 2017 trade show in Berlin, where it will compete with Nike’s other shoes, including the new “Nike Elite” line.
The new shoes will be sold exclusively by Nokia and will cost a whopping €1,800 ($1,990), according to Nokia’s press release.
The shoes will feature Nike’s signature “Nokies” branding, which can be seen on the sides of the shoes, the shoes’ rubber outsole and the tongue of the shoe.
The shoes are expected to sell out quickly, but Nokia said they will be available for purchase online.
The company’s chief operating officer, Jeroen de Geus, said that the new shoes are designed to appeal to a wider range of consumers, which he said will help Nokia’s business reach a broader audience.
“It’s a big deal for us because we have to cater to a wide range of markets,” de Geuus said.
“So we’re hoping the shoes will appeal to everyone.”
Nike also said that it would continue to expand its footwear collection, with a new range of sneakers in 2018, and new athletic footwear to come in 2019.
