With summer officially here, you might have already noticed Nike’s latest, Augmented reality-enabled clothing line.
But before you buy, you need to check if Augmented Reality (AR) is a thing.
And if it is, what is it, and what are you going to do about it?
Here are seven questions you should ask.1.
Is Augmentedreality a thing?
Augmented reality has been around for quite some time, and its use has been embraced by some companies, including Apple and Amazon, which have released apps for the technology.
Nike, however, is the first major retailer to support Augmentedrealtime, and the company is now starting to roll out its own products with the tagline Augmented.
Augmentedreality isn’t new to the apparel industry.
As the name suggests, Augmentations are new, “virtual” and “augmented” items.
The new wearable tech is the brainchild of Nike’s Chief Marketing Officer Michael Ainsworth and augmented reality guru and designer Tony Hsieh, and is being used by a number of retailers including Nike, JCPenney, and Macy’s.
While some retailers are only officially using the technology for select categories, it’s still not clear what other categories Nike will roll out with the technology, but it’s already on the horizon.1Ainsworth’s company, augmentedreality.com, has already been featured in more than 300,000 articles.
In July, he and Hsieu hovered over the top of Forbes’s list of the most influential people in augmented reality.
The site says its goal is to “develop products that are simple, easy to use, and that have real-world benefits.”
The website’s product page includes the slogan “Augmented Reality, the Future.”
“Augmented Realtime has the potential to transform the way people think about how and when they wear their clothes,” Ainsoways blog reads.
“Augmentation, a way of creating and sharing your personal content that can be shared on social media, could change the way consumers interact with brands.”
The company has even released a video on Augmented RealTime showing a Nike employee using it.
The company also plans to roll it out in stores later this month.
Augmentations work by combining information from two or more cameras.
For example, an iPhone could capture an image of you and show it to the augmented reality device.
The augmented reality devices then compare the image to a photo of your face and make a decision about how to present the information.
The device then can then change the presentation to show a different image of your body.
Nike says its technology is “designed to deliver a more personalized experience to customers.”
The technology also gives retailers a way to show their product to customers in new ways.
Ainsaways company says AugmentedRealtime is “an exciting new way to connect and personalize apparel to your customers, while simultaneously delivering a brand new way of looking at your products.”
The company says that Augmented “real-time experiences” allow for customers to interact with the garments themselves.1The augmented reality app, Nike’s Augmented realtime, is a part of Nike CEO Michael Ainos new line of Nike products.
AINSWORTH/REUTERSNike’s Augmentreality app, which debuted earlier this month, lets you see how Nike’s new Nike Air Max x Nike Air, Max Boost, Nike Air Zoom, and other products are changing, and how they’ll look in a different color, texture, and material.
The app’s main page features augmented reality-specific images and video clips.
The apps features are similar to what you’d see on a Google Cardboard, though Nike has added a few tweaks to make it a little more useful.
For instance, you can see the Nike Air x Nike Zoom, which is also a part to Nike’s Air Max line, and check out how Nike Air zipped through a runway.
The Nike Zoom has a red, white, and blue color scheme.1Nike also says it’s rolling out the Augmented REALtime platform in more categories, but hasn’t said which ones yet.
If you’re interested in checking it out, the company’s app can be downloaded for free here.2.
What are Augmented Shoes?
Augured shoes, which are worn by athletes, have been around since the 1990s, and now are used by more and more retailers.
They look and feel a little like sneakers, but they also incorporate augmented reality technology.
Augural shoes can be worn as a fashion accessory, a form of fitness, or just a fun fashion accessory.
Nike’s first augmented shoe, the Air Zoom II, is designed for the gym.
The shoe is made with Nike’s AR technology and comes with an app that can help you “see” what’s going on in
